Web Site Help |
| |
For useful hints and tips on using this web site see the following
tutorials below. They include successful searching and saving information. |
|
Searching |
| |
There are two types of searches available; basic and advanced. If
you want a simple and quick search perform a basic search, however
for a more advanced and accurate search perform an advanced search. |
| |
Both methods of searches follow a similar format. They consist of input
fields and drop down lists. You are not required to enter any information
if you don't want, however you are able to trim your results down by
choosing search criteria (e.g. make or model).
A basic search comprises of make/model, keywords, price range, order
by and photo's only (see screenshot to the right). |
| |
If you want to search for your car with any keywords, such as colour,
accessory, or extras please enter these in the Keywords field.
For example, if you wanted to search for red cars with alloy wheels
you would type "red, alloy wheels" in the keywords field.
Remember to separate words/phrases with a comma. |
| |
An
advanced search contains additional fields such as mileage, age, condition,
Tax, MoT and HPi (see screenshot to the left).
For more information on a search field, hover your mouse pointer over
the small information icon .
|
| |
| When you are happy with your search criteria click the large green button
to start the search. You are then able to save the search for future
reference. |
| |
Saving |
| |
You can save any search and any car providing you are a registered
user. By saving your searches and cars you are able to quickly and
easily view your information. |
| |
Your
saved information is available to view from the "My Saves" section
(see screenshot to the right).
Please note - adverts expire after 7 days and can be
removed by the advertiser at any point. As a result you may not
be able to view all of your adverts. |
| |
To
save a search first you must perform the search. A
"Save Search" button will appear at the bottom of the search
entry box (see screenshot to the left).
Click this button to save the search. You will then be shown a summary
of your search and will have to enter a brief description of the
search to continue (see screenshot below) |
| |
To
save a car click the green "Save" button
in the advert. You will then be able to view your saved car or search
in the "My
Saves" section
or on the left hand side of the search page (see screenshot above).
